British singer/songwriter Amy Winehouse locked down the coveted top spot this week on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums Chart, with her gold-and-climbing album Back To Black.
The charismatic singer also has the hottest song on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, with her sizzling single Rehab moving up the top ten. Back To Black has now sold more than two and a half million albums worldwide, making it one of the most critically and commercially successful debuts of the year.
Amy returns to the states after a closely followed string of sold-out European shows on two festivals -- the Virgin Festival in Baltimore August 4, and the Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago, August 5.
Amy's much anticipated end-of-summer tour kicks off at NYC's Summer Stage on September 12, with a show the following day – September 13 – in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. She will also be appearing at the Austin City Limits Festival in Austin, Texas September 15, with stops in included in Los Angeles on September 18 & 19, San Francisco on September 21 & 22, Seattle on September 25, Minnesota on September 28, and pulling into Chicago on September 29, 2007.
