Backspace Communications was founded in 2001 prior to IPTV Solutions being made commercially available. Setting out to offer an alternative means of entertainment delivery, Backspace has pioneered both industry relationships and industry technologies. Backspace Communications now deploys scalable end-to-end IPTV solutions for ISP's and Telco's serving Tier II and Tier III markets and has successfully launched IPTV consumer services.

On June 25, 2007, the company released information regarding their IPTV deployment, having recently launched their Walled Garden service.

Backspace has accumulated momentum in their IPTV deployment with over five years of content acquisition and system development, and the last two years on extensive beta testing. The company has also been successful in offering their IPTV solutions to other system operators.

Backspace sees significant potential in open network distribution with thousands of subscribers to their internationally distributed services. And after just several weeks since launching their Walled Garden services they are seeing similar growth promising a solid future for closed network deployments.
