Chelsea Handler

Chelsea Handler was born the youngest of six children in Livingston, N.J., to a Jewish father and a Mormon mother. Now Handler is coming to Spotlight 29 Casino on March 8, 2008.

Handler is the star of "Chelsea Lately," which airs weeknights on E! In the half-hour weeknight series, Handler offers quick-witted commentary and a refreshing perspective on pop culture and celebrity news. A roundtable of guests join Handler each show to discuss top breaking news stories, celebrity tales that just won't die and other hot topics of the day. Handler is also a recurring correspondent on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and starred in Oxygen TV's "Girls Behaving Badly."

Handler is also an author, and her first book, "My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One Night Stands," published by Bloomsbury, was recently released in the U.S. and more than 20 other countries. It has become a bestseller on several lists. Her follow up book, entitled "Are You There Vodka, It's Me Chelsea," will be coming out in 2008.

Her new book title is a play on words of a children's book, and on children, Handler says, "Having a baby is a huge responsibility. It's like, a five year commitment. I could be a mother. In fact, I could have been a mother three times."
