Announced August 27, 2007, on the tenth anniversary of her passing, Jackson & Perkins has re-introduced its best-selling commemorative rose using innovative container rose technology to honor Princess Diana's memory.

A partner of the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, Jackson and Perkins has sold more than 475,000 Diana Roses in the United States since its introduction in 1998, and has donated 10% of all sales to the Fund in order to continue funding Diana's charitable programs.

Jackson & Perkins' Diana Rose is a classic hybrid tea. Its ivory petals are overlaid with a clear pink blush, and its large, elegantly shaped buds open into graceful, full flowers with a sweet fragrance. It produces long stems perfect for cutting. Jackson & Perkins' nationally renowned rose hybridizer, Dr. Keith Zary, worked closely with Princess Diana's estate and the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund to designate this beautiful rose.

Jackson & Perkins now offers the Diana Rose as a container rose for successful fall planting. This innovation is particularly well-suited for garden enthusiasts and newcomers alike. Regardless of whether one lives in tight spaces, like urban apartments, or in regions of the country where autumn temperatures cause roses to mildew fast, container rose gardening offers great possibilities. The roses arrive rooted in containers, lightly pruned, and ready to flourish.
