Canon's consumer hard drive HD camorder features a Canon 10x HD Video lens, Canon Full HD CMOS image sensor, Canon's proprietary DIGIC DV II Image Processor, SuperRange Optical Image Stabilization and Instant AF.

Jam-packed into its deceptively small body is a range of Canon exclusive features to help make home movies mimic big-budget productions. The optical image stabilization to help correct camera shake during hand-held filming or when the camera is in motion. The CMOS sensor captures images at 1920x1080 resolution and the instant auto focus system offers dramatic autofocus speed and accuracy. The camcorder's24p Cinema Mode lets consumers achieve the look and feel of film.

The HD camcorder features a built in HDMI terminal.
