On October 16, 2007, SiRF announced the first annual Location 2.0 Summit and Awards, an invitation-only event to be held in San Francisco on October 23, 2007 in the St. Regis Hotel. Boasting an array of keynote speakers, panel discussions, intimate gatherings and a dinner and awards program, the Location 2.0 Summit will give approximately 200 industry leaders, executives and developers a unique opportunity to explore the future direction of technologies for location-based services (LBS). The Location 2.0 Summit supports SiRF's long term strategy for growth and is designed to expand LBS into mobile and wireless devices.

The Location 2.0 Summit brings together leaders addressing all aspects of the location industry ecosystem: operators and service providers, device manufacturers and enabling platform providers as well as content and application developers. Attendees will hear and discuss success stories and proven strategies as well as critical challenges for the location industry in the mobile and wireless space.

After a luncheon and registration in the St. Regis Ballroom, the Location 2.0 Summit commences with a keynote address by Michael Jones, CTO of Google Earth, a technology that is proving to be a key enabler for the location ecosystem. This will be followed by a fireside chat between Andrew Seybold, one of the most respected and influential champions of mobile wireless innovation, and Kanwar Chadha, founder of SiRF, and will focus on the vision of this new Location Summit and the future of the location ecosystem. The afternoon will continue with a variety of panel discussions lead by key industry executives that will explore every aspect of the location ecosystem. The panels will be held in question-and-answer format, and will include audience participation.

Panel speakers include Raphael Goumot, head of group marketing for consumer location-based services in the Corporate Strategic Marketing Division of Orange - France Telecom Group; Samuel Wang, president, Mio Technology; Robert Gourdine, director of marketing, North American Consumer Group for Navteq; and Magnus Nilsson, chief executive officer for Wayfinder Systems.

Executives in each area of the location ecosystem will mingle at the evening cocktail reception, which is followed by the awards dinner and presentation in the Grand Ballroom of the St. Regis Hotel and a keynote address by Cheryln Chin, corporate vice president of multimedia products and experiences for Motorola's Mobile Devices business. Honoring the highest achievements across the location ecosystem, the Location 2.0 Summit Awards are an extraordinary opportunity to promote excellence and celebrate achievement in the industry, and will recognize and honor individuals and organizations for their leadership, vision and lifetime achievement.
