On August 3, 2007, Carlson Hotels Worldwide announced the appointment of Martin Rinck as President and Managing Director of Carlson Hotels Worldwide Asia Pacific, headquartered in Singapore. Rinck joins Carlson in this key role after serving the last four years as Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer of the Rezidor Hotel Group based in Brussels.

Born in Hamburg, Germany, Martin Rinck holds a Masters Degree of Business Administration from Brunel University, London, and attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. His hotel industry experience has included over ten years with Inter-Continental Hotels and Resorts in Hamburg, Paris, San Francisco, Chicago, Lisbon and London and service with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in Jakarta and Surabaya, Indonesia.
