Red Lobster's new website

Red Lobster seafood restaurant has over 680 locations in North America and more than 63,000 employees. The company served more than 145 million guests in fiscal 2006.

On August 23, 2007, Red Lobster unveiled a new website with fresh digital features and educational tools that will be savored by everyone from the beginner chef to the seafood connoisseur. The innovative site boasts a chef's blog, an interactive kitchen, fresh fish recipe book and videocasts as the restaurant continues to refresh its iconic brand in its most sweeping marketing initiative to date.

The improved site gives visitors everything from simple tips on healthy seafood choices to guided lessons in fresh fish preparation from Red Lobster's Senior Executive Chef Michael LaDuke and Executive Chef Darryl Mickler. In the Chef's Blog, LaDuke and Mickler answer recipe requests and cooking questions, demystify fresh seafood recipes and discuss the inspiration behind favorites like Maple-Glazed Salmon and Shrimp seen in the restaurant's new advertising. LaDuke and Mickler will also host regular videocasts, the first of which taped in Cape Cod, which will feature fresh seafood tips and how-to preparations from Red Lobster.

The Interactive Kitchen offers helpful tips from the Chef's Notebook, a Wine Cellar with tasting and pairing hints, a Seafood Guide that highlights regional textures and flavors, and a Test Kitchen that whips up seafood masterpieces from selected ingredients and preparation methods. In the Gourmet Gallery, a series of videocasts explores fish market shopping secrets on a seagoing adventure with Chef LaDuke and takes fresh tips straight into the kitchen with a step-by-step cooking demonstration.

The site also offers a Virtual Fresh Fish Cookbook with more than 30 recipes and tips, as well as a Seafood and Health section with a Create-a-Meal Calculator for the calorie-conscious.
