Effective July 30, 2007, Sharon J. Morano was appointed as the next president of Don Bosco Technical Institute.

Sharon Morano, who has been principal of the Bishop Conaty -- Our Lady of Loretto High School since 1992, was selected following a nationwide search. In her role at Bishop Conaty-Loretto, she has overseen the administration for an inner city all girls' Catholic high school in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles with a multi-cultural student population. Her successful achievements in this role include: strengthening the identity of Bishop Conaty-Loretto within the community; expansion of curriculum programs in addition to the introduction of a flexible, modular academic program and block scheduling; increased enrollment; expansion of the tuition assistance program; coordination of construction projects concluding with a newly created facility which provided a positive impact on the school's administration and facilitated ongoing related matters; as well as the initiation and completion of a capital campaign spanning from 2003 through 2006 which, among other endeavors, enabled the construction and implementation of a stage, sound and lighting systems for the school's gym.

Ms. Morano is a former member of the Missionary Sisters of Sacred Heart of Jesus (Cabrini Sisters); she served the Cabrini Community from 1964 to 1995. Prior to her position with Bishop Conaty-Loretto High School, Ms. Morano spent eight years as Principal of Mother Cabrini High School in New York City where she led the school to become a U.S. Department of Education's Excellence in Education award winner in the 1986-1987 Secondary School Recognition Program and also received the National Catholic Educational Association NCEA)'s Outstanding Program Award in 1988.

Sharon Morano holds an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Cabrini College, a Master's degree in Educational Administration from Villanova University in Pennsylvania and a Permanent Certification as School Administrator/ Supervisor in the state of New York.
