TVU Networks has built a new live global TV service that is transmitted via broadband Internet. The service combines Internet technology with a global network of content providers to bring viewers programs that they won't find on their local cable and satellite TV system, such as sports and news from around the world. Viewers can watch their favorite TVU channels from anywhere -- at home, at work, in the park, or on business trips. For TV broadcasters, both professional and amateur, TVU Networks offers a way to reach a global viewer base and monetize their content. The TVU service has unlimited channel capacity and low broadcasting costs. In its first year of service, TVUPlayer has already been downloaded eight million times by viewers in over two hundred countries.

On September 6, 2007, TVU Networks announced plans to make its live internet television service available on HP consumer notebook PCs. TVU Networks' can be accessed by HP notebook users easily through HP's QuickPlay entertainment program, which gives users one-touch access to their entire media portfolio. TVU Networks will be available on select HP consumer notebooks with Vista via a web update which is planned for later this year.

No Mac version of TVU is available.
