Trent Staats

On August 6, 2007, Verenium named Trent Staats as Senior Director, Strategic Financial Planning and Analysis.

In this newly-created position, Mr. Staats will work closely with the executive management team to help rapidly evolve Verenium's strategic and financial planning process for both the biofuels and specialty enzyme business units, as well as build a functional group that allows the company to accelerate its commercial development plans. Mr. Staats brings a breadth of strategic and operational experience to Verenium from several successful entrepreneurial ventures, including the founding and successful sale of his own energy business. In addition to his undergraduate degrees from the University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Staats also earned both a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He also completed his Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
